D&O Special Report:
Impacts of Brexit with Focus on D&O and Trade Credit Risk
With the UK’s uncoupling from the EU proceeding, but much of the detail still uncertain, AIG has teamed up with StrategicRISK to bring you a special report, looking at the potential implications of Brexit for both D&O and Trade Credit risk…
Some of the key issues examined include:
  • With Brexit having the potential to be a serious risk for the unprepared, business leaders need to ensure it is not mis-managed and mis-communicated. The quality and extent of D&O cover is important in this changing environment.
  • Events like Brexit, combined with uncertainties for the global economy, create trade credit risks.  And a lack of trade credit insurance can mean that D&O policy limits can be spent defending these claims, as opposed to defending against even larger issues.
  • AIG has a strong understanding of the D&O market through its long-standing settlement of large loss claims since the financial crisis.  Cross-border exposure is another key theme, alongside increased regulatory focus and private company exposure.
The “D&O Special Report: Brexit”  features contributions from AIG experts from Financial Lines, Trade Credit and the respective Claims department. Other contributors include Julia Graham, Airmic Deputy Chief Executive, Nick Williams, Head of Kennedys Law Insurance division and Leslie Kurshan, Product development head in Marsh’s financial and professional practice.
